Cauliflower Crust Pizza (revised May 2016)


Cauliflower crust Pizza
ready to bake 
toppings
pre baked pizza crust about 20 minutes at 400f
dressed  and ready for the oven
all done and so good

Ingredients

2 -4  cups raw, grated (or chopped in food processor) cauliflower (riced) or even more for a thicker crust.
1 egg
1/2  cup mozzarella cheese or more

1 tbs  parmesan cheese
1 tbs Italian spice
1 tbs chopped garlic
Parchment paper

Then with the riced cauliflower put in the microwave for 10 minutes in a microwave safe bowl, allow it to cool and add the rest of the ingredients. 

Directions
Makes 10-12 inch pizza 
Line the pan with Parchment paper. 
In a medium bowl, combine cauliflower, egg, 1/2 the mozzarella, some parmesan and all desired spices. Press evenly on baking pan or pizza stone. I used a pizza pan with parchment paper.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20  minutes or more (until firm and lightly browned). 
Remove the pan from the oven. To the crust, add sauce, then toppings and cheese. 

Back in the oven at 400 f until the cheese is melted, about 10-15  minutes(this time close to 30 minutes.) Then let rest for 5-10 minutes and serve, eat with a knife and fork.

We really enjoyed this and will do again.

  2. Yummy, I'm going to try this for sure. What does (riced) mean to the cauliflower?

    1. Rice means when you put in the processor, process until it looks like grains of rice.
