Rice Pilaf and Smoked Turkey Sausage

An Easy one pan meal, the recipe below is for 2 people , we will have leftovers. But you can increase the amounts
Prep is done
all done 15 minutes later
the smoked sausage really adds to the taste

Ingredients:

2  Smoked Turkey Sausage (or whatever you like) 3/4 inch chunks
1 tbsp oil or a non-stick pan sprayed with oil.
1  cup of water with 1 package chicken OXO mixed in.
1 cup Minute Brown Rice
1/2 Cup fresh sliced mushrooms
1/2 Onion chopped
1  tsp chopped garlic
light soya sauce to taste 1-2 tsp
1/2 cup Fresh broccoli chopped
1/3 cup chopped celery
1/2 Cup frozen mixed veggies

Directions:

  1. Heat oil large skillet
  2. Add sausage to brown then set aside.
  3. Saute onions and garlic until tender.
  4. Add chicken water to skillet and bring to a boil.
  5. Add rice, mushrooms, veggies, sausage and soya sauce stir, cook 5 minutes med-low covered.
  6. Remove from heat let stand 5 minutes covered until all liquid is absorbed.
 Serve with a small salad and enjoy.
